Illustrated re-tellings of Greek myths and legends for children. Extremely rare binding. Includes bookplate to signify that the first owner of this book won first prize for English at Belfield House, Bowdon in 1889.

A gorgeous addition to anybody's bookshelf and over 125 years old!

Condition: Scuffing to edges. Some crashing to the top of the spine. Binding still holding together. Red and gilt detailing worn from spine but still bright on front cover. Minor tanning and some foxing to pages. Original paper to protect illustrated plate at the front of the book still in place.
